The Puccini Festival celebrates the 150th anniversary of the birth of the composer with the completion of a new theatre by the Lake and performances there of his most cherished operas, Turandot, Tosca and Madama Butterfly. Itinerary
Day 1 – Fly to Pisa and transfer to your hotel. Dinner this evening will be in a local restaurant. Lucca has great charm and interst, with palaces, towers, shops, sculptured doorways and a Piazza formed from the Roman amphitheatre.
Day 2 – Today there will be a guided tour of the streets of Mediaeval Lucca, including the walls, the churches and the places associated with Puccini. In the evening transfer to the opera performance in the new theatre by the Lake.
Day 3 – Transfer to the airport for the return flight to London.
