The Namib Desert is believed to be the oldest desert in the world. The sand dunes rise nearly a thousand feet and are home to oryx, springboks and ostriches and to strange plants like the underground tree. Animals, such as the desert Elephant have adapted to live in the harsh conditions. The Skeleton Coast, named after the ships wrecked there, is a mysterious area of dunes and rocks. There are some ancient rock engravings and paintings, of which the White Lady of the Brandberg is the best known. The Himba people still maintain their normadic traditions and old customs. Etosha is famous for the variety of its herds of wild animals, zebras, rhinos and giraffes as well as a prolific bird population.
This is a Personal Choice private tour, organised for two people travelling together.
