Budapest Opera Breaks - From £165
Budapest is a fine city on the banks of the Danube, with grand avenues and views. The dominant architecture is Art Nouveau. It has the finest surviving example of a traditional grand opera house, the Hungarian State Opera. A full season of opera takes place there and at the less formal Erkel Theatre. It is a wonderful city for opera breaks and there are also a number of concert halls, performing the great symphonic works.

Hotels: The 3-star Hotel Erzsebet is a comfortable centrally located hotel. The hotel has a café. The 4-star Hotel Astoria is located in the heart of the historical city centre. It is a traditional hotel with Empire-style interior decoration and was renovated in 2004. The hotel offers excellent services and has restaurant and café.
